Age at Death:
Born in Alabama in 1927, Willie Brewster was simply a black man in America, just trying to get by in a racist land. He worked the night shift out the Union Foundry. A memorial has since been raised in his honor near the site of his killing.
Willie Brewster was shot in cold blood on the way home with a coworker. A white supremacist, shot him in the neck, leading Brewster to die three days later. The men behind the killing belonged to the National States' Rights Party, a white supremacist group.
Was justice served?
No. Although the killer was sentenced to 10 years in prison, he did not serve the time.
